I was prescribed Gabapentin 300mg for nerve pain after shingles, but the side effects are so intense. I experience constant dizziness and fatigue. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm feeling very frustrated right now. I know it's supposed to help with nerve pain, but it has been miserable. How did you all manage the side effects? I would love some advice or encouragement at this point. My doctor is already aware of my discomfort and told me to give it some time. I know it can take a while to get used to new meds, but this is rough. Is it just me?

Honestly, I felt the same way when I first started taking it. It took a few weeks, but the side effects eventually subsided. Stick it out, and talk to your doctor if it gets worse.

I found that the side effects were way worse if I took them on an empty stomach. I started eating a small snack before taking them and it made a big difference.

Dude, I had the worst side effects ever—headaches, dizziness, the works. I actually had to stop taking them. It might be worth talking to your doctor about alternatives.

Been there! I felt like a zombie for the first few weeks. But then the side effects started to fade, and I feel a lot better now. Hang in there! I know it's hard.

I'm on the same meds for similar reasons. I have to say the side effects are annoying, but they are manageable. Try to avoid driving until you know how it affects you. I've had a couple of close calls and it's not worth it.
