I've been prescribed Gabitril 16mg Tablets to help manage my partial seizures, and I've been noticing some side effects that are a bit concerning. I've been experiencing dizziness and trouble sleeping, but what's really got me worried are the potential severe side effects like changes in balance and trouble speaking. Has anyone else dealt with these issues? How did you manage them? Also, I'm a bit nervous about the risk of suicidal thoughts. Has anyone had any experience with that? Just want to hear some real experiences and advice.

I had a pretty bad experience with Gabitril. I started having trouble speaking and walking, and it was really scary. I switched to a different medication and it's been much better ever since. Definitely talk to your doctor if you're having those issues.

I've had Gabitril for over 5 years now, always been fine. Sure, I've had some sleep issues, but I've had to adjust to that as it is. I've had seizures before and it is a nightmare. Have you tried adjusting your sleep schedule? It can help.

I've never had such serious side effects with this drug, but I did experience some balance issues. It was a nightmare trying to get my doctor to listen to me, but eventually I got better. It's important to stay in touch with your physician.

My advice? Just be consistent with your medication and follow your doctor's instructions. It's the best way to manage side effects and keep your seizures under control. But, I'm no doctor, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

I've had some trouble sleeping too, but my doc suggested taking the meds in the morning and it's helped a lot. It's worth talking to your doctor about changing the time of day you take it.
