I am glad I found this thread, been using these drops for a couple of days and it's been a bit of a hassle, yet so effective, thanks for the tips.
I had to use these for an eye infection, and while it got better, the burning sensation was really intense. My doctor said it could be normal but to keep an eye out for any worsening of symptoms. Make sure to apply the drops at regular intervals and don't skip doses, but if you do, it won't be the end of the world.
I had no idea these drops could cause an allergic reaction. I think it's important to keep an eye out for any signs of a reaction, especially if you've never used this medication before, and if you have any doubts, it's always best to call your doctor.
Has anyone experienced changes in eyesight? That's what worries me the most.
I was prescribed Garamycin for keratitis, and I had a bit of eye irritation but nothing too bad. Don't rub your eyes after putting the drops in, you might spread the infection and even cause more irritation. Avoid wearing contact lenses while using the drops and throw them away after you're done with treatment, unless your doctor says otherwise.
