I've been prescribed Geodon 80mg for my bipolar disorder and have been taking it for about three months now. I've noticed some side effects, like feeling dizzy and having trouble sleeping, but I'm worried about the more serious ones. Has anyone else experienced anything major? How do you guys manage the side effects? And most importantly, what should I do if I start to feel any of those urgent side effects? I've heard some scary stories about NMS and serotonin syndrome, so I'm pretty nervous about taking this medication. My doctor gave me a list of side effects to watch out for, but I want to know what other people's experiences have been like.

Did you guys know that you can report side effects to the FDA? That’s what I did when I had a really bad reaction. Maybe they can help you too.

I started taking Geodon about six months ago, and it's been a game-changer for my bipolar disorder. I did experience some initial dizziness and restlessness, but those symptoms have mostly subsided. I'm glad I stuck with it, but I did have to adjust my dose a bit to find the right balance. I do feel tired but I think that is to do with how it is affecting my sleep.

Yes! If you have issues sleeping, try taking it earlier in the day.

Yikes. That sounds awful. I've had trouble with weight gain. I've been trying to eat healthier to fight that. I think there should be more information out there about diet and exercise while on this medication.

Remember, everyone's experience is different. What works for one person might not work for another. It's important to stay in close contact with your doctor and report any side effects right away. And if you ever feel like you're in serious danger, don't hesitate to go to the ER.

I've been on this medication for a while and I am doing fine. I take it with food and that really helps with the side effects. I have had some dizziness, but it's bearable.

I've been on Geodon for a few years now, and while I do feel dizzy sometimes, it's manageable. However, I had a really bad reaction to it a couple of months ago and ended up in the ER. Turns out, I was having symptoms of neuroleptic malignant syndrome. It was absolutely terrifying. Luckily, my doctor caught it early. Make sure you know the signs and symptoms, and if you feel anything odd, go to the ER right away.

This medication has been a lifesaver! The weight gain is real, though. I've been trying to eat healthier and exercise more, but it's a struggle. Anyone have any tips for managing that side effect?

Anytime I have questions I just call the number on the side of the package and they tell me what to do. They have saved me a couple of emergencies.
