I was admitted to the ICU after a severe infection caused my blood pressure to drop dangerously low. Everything they tried wasn't working, so they gave me Giapreza through an IV. It worked immediately — my blood pressure stabilized, and I started feeling better. The nurse mentioned that it works by making blood vessels tighter, which helps boost blood pressure. I want to share my experience and learn from others about this medication. During my hospital stay I witnessed some of the side effects. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced severe side effects and would like to share information about them? I've read about potential blood clots, and I'm a bit worried.

My cousin was on this medication and he was prescribed a blood thinner to prevent blood clots. His family was worried about the side effects but he is doing well now. It's good to see that there is always a balance to be met: managing the side effects, but also letting the medication work.

It's reassuring to know that this drug can work so well. All these stories about how serious the side effects are makes me think about how important it is for doctors to be vigilant and make sure that the patient is being monitored. Have they found any preventative measures yet? Would be nice to know.

Just wanted to point out that if you do experience any of these side effects, it's crucial to seek medical help immediately. My friend had a similar experience with a different medication, and waiting it out was a big mistake. Have to be careful, it is a serious matter.

I was actually very surprised at how many side effects this medication can have, but I guess it is a medication for a very serious condition so the side effects are not surprising. It's a bit scary to think about how many people are at risk for these side effects, it is a pretty serious issue.

Honestly, I find it amazing how modern medicine can stabilize someone in such critical condition. Very scary to think about how close this person was to not making it but I guess that is the risk people take when they go to the hospital.

I'm a nurse and I've seen this drug save lives. It’s often a last resort, but it can be incredibly effective for people in severe shock. The side effects are serious, so close monitoring is crucial. I've had patients experience rapid heartbeats and mood changes, but with proper care, these can be managed.

Thought it was a bit scary to see the list of side effects, but this is a drug for people in pretty dire situations. Only thing I can think is that the risks are worth it. The side effects mentioned are terrifying, but I guess they would be for anyone who is in shock.

Side effects are definitely something to be aware of, but I’d rather have the chance to live and deal with them! Thanks for sharing your experience and reminding everyone of the potential side effects. I am glad that these side effects are rare and the medication is effective in most cases
