I've been on Glipizide-Metformin 2.5mg/250mg Tab for about three months now, and I've had a mix of experiences. Initially, I struggled with stomach issues like upset stomach and diarrhea, but they seemed to subside after a couple of weeks. However, I'm still worried about the more severe side effects, like lactic acidosis. Has anyone else dealt with this, and what kind of tests or monitoring should I be asking my doctor about? I've also noticed that I get dizziness or headaches occasionally, which is a bit concerning. Are these side effects something I just have to live with? Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I've been on this for a while and honestly, the biggest issue for me has been remembering to take it twice a day. Setting alarms on my phone has helped a lot. Also, make sure you're staying hydrated, it can help with some of the side effects.

I switched to this combo after years of struggling with metformin alone. The glipizide has made a big difference in controlling my blood sugar, but I had to be really diligent about monitoring my glucose levels to avoid hypo. Make sure you're checking regularly and have a plan for how to deal with lows.

I started this medication a few weeks ago, and I feel like my blood sugar is all over the place. I think it's because of the glipizide. Any tips on managing this?

I had to stop taking this because of the lactic acidosis risk. It was terrifying. I switched to a different combo, and it's been much better. If you're worried, definitely discuss it with your doctor.
