I've been taking Glipizide XL 2.5mg Tablets for a few months now to manage my type 2 diabetes. I was initially hesitant to start a new medication, but my doctor assured me that it would help control my blood sugar levels more effectively. I've found that taking it once daily has been convenient, and it seems to be working well so far. However, I've experienced some side effects like dizziness and occasional diarrhea, which have been manageable. I'm curious to know if others have had similar experiences or any tips for dealing with these side effects. I've also wondered about the long-term effects of this medication and if anyone has any insights or advice to share.

I've had great success with Glipizide XL. My blood sugar levels are much more stable, and I've been able to reduce my insulin doses. The side effects have been minimal for me. I’ve been taking it for a month now, The docs don’t understand what I mean when I say it’s made me feel nervous sometimes, but I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Really annoying that the side effects can be so severe. I've had issues with shaking, dizziness, and diarrhea. Not great. Can't do anything about it though, so I'm just trying to deal with it the best I can. What has everyone else tried to combat the diarrhea?

Had an interesting chat with my endo about Glipizide XL. Apparently, it can interact with certain herbs and supplements, so be careful if you're taking any. Always good to double-check with a doc.

I've had some mild side effects like dizziness and gas, but nothing too bad. I've found that taking it with food helps a lot. Just be careful with alcohol, as it can enhance the low blood sugar risk.

I switched to Glipizide XL from another medication and my blood sugar levels have been much more stable. I don’t feel as jittery or shaky as I used to, which is a big relief. I still keep an eye on my blood sugar regularly though, just in case.

I've found that the extended-release formula is great for my lifestyle. I used to have to take my old meds multiple times a day, which was a pain. Anyone else feel this way?

I've been on Glipizide XL for a year now, and it's made a big difference in my blood sugar control. The extended-release formula is great because I only have to take it once a day. However, I did have some issues with low blood sugar at first. My doctor recommended I carry glucose tablets with me at all times, which has helped a lot.

Just started Glipizide XL and so far, so good. I really needed something to control my blood sugar better. Fingers crossed it works out for the long run. It’s weird that they say to report side effects to FDA though, I don’t think I would

I had a really bad allergic reaction to Glipizide XL. It started with a rash and then got worse with fever and blisters. I had to go to the ER. I figured it was worth mentioning because I haven’t seen anyone else share this experience here yet. Has anyone else had issues like this?

I’ve been on this medication for 6 months and haven’t noticed any side effects so far. Fingers crossed it stays that way! Does anyone know if it’s safe to take with other diabetes meds like metformin?
