I've been prescribed Glucagen 1mg Inj, 1 Vial for managing severe hypoglycemia. Has anyone else used this, and if so, can you share your experiences? There are some concerning side effects listed, and I'm looking for some real-world insights. I don't want to be left wondering when I have to use this.

I've had a couple of really rough hypoglycemic episodes and Glucagen pulled me through both times. It's supposed to be paired with carbs—sugar tablets or something similar but I'm still a bit jittery from the experience. Really hoping to not need it again anytime soon.

I've actually never needed it, thankfully. But my doctor said it's crucial for people with type 1 diabetes. It's good to know it's there, even if I hope I never have to use it.

I had a friend who had a severe reaction to it. She had a weird rash and her skin started blistering. She had to go to the ER right away. It was scary as hell, and for her, every symptom on the list of urgent side effects came through.

Shout out to Glucagen for saving the day whenever I’ve had a super rough episode. It’s not really one to rely on daily, but it’s a godsend in case of an emergency.

I had to use it last month when my blood sugar dropped to dangerously low levels. The urgent side effects can be scary but the relief it provides is immediate. I had to call an ambulance, they gave me more dextrose and I was finally fine.

I’ve heard horror stories about the side effects. My doctor told me about using it during an endoscopy to relax my digestive muscles. Fucking scary, honestly.

I've used Glucagen a few times and it was a lifesaver. I usually keep it with me just in case. It's a bit scary to use, but it does the job!

My dad uses Glucagon weekly for his diabetes. He says it's a lifesaver, but he's had to call the ambulance to their home for a few of the side effects. The main danger is that it can cause severe reactions and it doesn't always work exactly as expected.
