I was recently prescribed Glyburide/metformin 1.25/250mg tablets to help manage my type 2 diabetes. This medication combines glyburide, which helps my body release more insulin, and metformin, which improves insulin usage and reduces liver sugar production. My doctor stressed the importance of taking it exactly as prescribed, usually with meals, and combining it with a healthy diet and regular exercise. I've been on it for a few weeks now, and while I've had some side effects like an upset stomach, I'm hopeful that it will help stabilize my blood sugar levels in the long run. I'm curious to hear from others who have taken this medication. What have your experiences been like, and do you have any tips for managing the side effects?

I've heard that exercise can help with some of the side effects. Anyone else find that to be true?

I think it’s important to note that everyone’s experience with this medication can be different. Some people may have severe side effects, while others may not notice any. Always consult with your doctor before making any changes.

Be sure to report any side effects to the FDA. It's important for them to know how these medications affect people in the long run.

I've been on this combo for about a year now. The stomach issues were rough at first, but they eventually went away. Just make sure to take it with food and stay hydrated!
