Hello everyone, I've been taking Gocovri 137mg ER for about six months now to manage the dyskinesia associated with my Parkinson's disease. I've noticed a significant reduction in my 'OFF' episodes so far, but I want to understand the experiences of others who have been taking this medication. I've had some side effects, but they've been manageable, and I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced anything unusual or bothersome. Also, what are some strategies for handling the possible side effects listed on the drug information sheet?

Sure, there are side effects to any medication, and this one is no different. I've actually found that the benefits outweigh the side effects for me. I've noticed a big drop in constipation and diarrhea after making a few dietary adjustments. The key is to be proactive, whether it's monitoring my food intake or adjusting my sleep habits. I believe that the more aware we are of changes in our bodies, the better we can manage side effects.

My doctor told me that behavioral changes are rare and can be monitored. But it's important to recognize. If you notice anything unusual, it's best to talk to your doctor right away. I started taking this medication with my family and friends around to monitor me and my reactions. I think this was a good move and it helped me feel a lot more comfortable.

I've had vivid dreams! Some of them are so real, I can't tell if I'm awake or asleep. It's a bit disconcerting, but I've learned to live with it. Has anyone else had this issue?

Well, I guess if we didn’t have side effects, the FDA would probably never approve it. Right?

I'm really struggling with the dizziness and fainting spells. I feel like I'm constantly walking on eggshells. I have to make sure I sit down right away if I feel dizzy. It's difficult to manage, but I'm sticking with it because the benefits are worth it. So far, having someone with me helps a lot so I'm not alone if something happens. I'm also trying to keep my blood sugar levels stable which can sometimes cause dizziness.

Gocovri has been a lifesaver for me. My dyskinesia was getting really bad, and this medication has helped a lot. I did experience some constipation, but increasing my fiber intake and drinking more water helped a lot. I also had to adjust when I took my other medications around Gocovri to make sure it didn't interact in a bad way. The most common side effects are manageable for me since I pay close attention to my body and adjust as needed.
