Got impetigo? Xepi 1% Topical Cream helped me clear it up in just 5 days!
Has anyone else tried Xepi 1% Topical Cream for impetigo? My doctor prescribed it, and I have to say, it's been a lifesaver. The cream is easy to apply – I just put a thin layer on the affected area twice a day. It's only been 3 days, and I can already see a big improvement. My question is, has anyone else experienced any side effects? The leaflet mentions skin irritation and allergic reactions, but I haven't noticed anything yet. For those who've used it before, how long did it take for your impetigo to clear up completely? Any tips for making the treatment process a bit easier? I know it's only been a few days but I'm eager to hear from others who've gone through this.

I didn't have any side effects but it didn't seem to help my impetigo. For me it took 2 weeks before I noticed a difference. I am wondering if it worked or if my body healed itself. I wish I had known it would take so long. It didn't seem to be working so I kept picking at it, but it was getting worse.
I have been using it for 3 days and it looks great, but i get a strange tingling. Does this happen to anyone else? I can’t tell if it is helping more or something else. It’s not too bad, so i’m hoping it’ll stop. It’s weird to get tingling on my skin when I apply it.
My doctor said it can take up to 5 days for a visible improvement. The rash was getting worse and my throat was getting scratchy as well, so I went to the doctor. I even got a few welts on my back that are itchy. The doctor said it’s a delayed allergic reaction. So glad the prescription worked. My daughter tried it for her and it worked right away. She has been using it and it’s clearing up nicely.
I used Xepi for my daughter. It cleared up in just 5 days. A little redness at first, but it went away quickly. Very happy with it.
I had a severe allergic reaction to Xepi. Swelling all over my face. Matters got serious, so be careful if you have allergies. I felt like my throat was closing up and it was scary as hell. I had to go to the hospital and get shots to treat it, so be careful!
One thing I noticed is that the cream can be a bit greasy, so I started applying it before bed so it won't bother me while I'm up and about during the day. Some people I've recommended it to did the same.
