I was recently given Phenylephrine 10mg/ml Inj, 1ml during a medical emergency, and I had some serious side effects. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. The medicine was administered to quickly raise my blood pressure, but I started experiencing severe headaches, dizziness, and even chest pain. I was rushed to the ER, and the doctors said it was likely due to the medication. I'm curious if anyone else has had issues with this drug, or if there are ways to mitigate these side effects. I've heard it can sometimes cause tissue damage if it leaks from the vein, which is terrifying to think about. Has anyone had that happen to them or someone they know?

I had a rough time with this drug too. The stomach pain and excessive sweating were the worst. I felt like I was going to pass out a few times. The nurse had to watch me really closely.

Unbelievable. I thought medication was supposed to help! More scary than helpful, it sounds like.

I've had to use Phenylephrine a few times during surgeries. It's effective, but the side effects can be rough. Make sure to tell your doctor about any unusual symptoms right away. They can adjust the dosage or switch to a different medication if necessary.

I'm just cautioning everyone to be really careful. This drug can be lifesaving, but it's also scary. Make sure you talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits. It might not be the right choice for everyone.

Side effects like severe headache and dizziness are pretty common with this drug. I had a friend who experienced the same. Make sure you're monitored closely when you're given this medication. For me, it was worth it, but I needed to be in the hospital for a while.

I've seen it used on patients and the potential for kidney problems is pretty frightening. If you're given this drug, make sure to watch out for changes in urine output and sudden weight gain. Those are signs of kidney issues, and you need to get help right away.

Seriously, if you start feeling any of those urgent side effects, get help immediately. Better safe than sorry.

I had a similar experience with Phenylephrine. It was terrifying. I developed a rash and had trouble breathing. It turned out I was having an allergic reaction, so they had to stop the infusion immediately. Always keep an eye out for any signs of an allergic reaction if you're given this drug.

I've never had an issue with this, but I've heard horror stories! Always a good idea to get the medical advice and never take medication without consulting a doctor.
