I’ve been using the Haloette Vaginal Ring for the past six months, and I have to say, it’s been a mixed experience. The convenience of inserting it once a month is a game-changer—no more daily pills to remember! However, the side effects have been a bit of a challenge. I've noticed some vaginal irritation and a bit of weight gain, which has been a bit concerning. My doctor assured me that these are common side effects and should subside over time, but I’m still concerned about the potential for more serious issues. Has anyone else experienced these side effects, or even worse, the more severe ones listed? I’d love to hear about your experiences with Haloette and how you’ve managed any side effects.

I'm not a fan. I had really bad headaches and vomiting, so I had to stop. My doctor suggested I try a different hormonal contraceptive, which has been a bit hit and miss.

I had to stop using Haloette because of the severe headaches. I’m not sure if it was the estrogen or the progestin, but it was really affecting my daily life. Has anyone else had this issue or know if there are alternatives with fewer side effects? Would love an alternative that won’t leave me feeling like I’m going through menopause.

I’ve been really happy with Haloette. The spotting was a bit annoying in the beginning, but it went away. I did experience some mood swings at first, but after a few months, it normalized. It’s a lifesaver for me and has significantly reduced my period pain. Looking for alternatives has been a journey in itself, so I’m happy to have found something that works well

Haloette was a game-changer for me. The vaginal irritation was a bit annoying at first, but it went away after a couple of weeks. I also noticed some breast tenderness, but it wasn’t too bad. I would recommend it if you’re looking for a hassle-free contraceptive method, but be prepared for some initial discomfort.

I would recommend speaking with your doctor but be prepared to keep trying different contraceptives because you never know if the next one works for you. Honestly, I had to try 4 before I found one that’s tolerable.

I haven’t had any side effects yet, thankfully. I’m just a bit worried about the risk of blood clots. Has anyone else had any concerns about this or experienced it? It’s a bit scary to think about.

Same here! The headaches were unbearable. I had to switch back to the pill, but I’m still looking for better options. The vaginal discharge was also unpleasant; I know you can experience some, but it really bothered me. It's hard to find the right fit.

I’ve been on Haloette for a year and have had no issues so far! It’s a lifesaver for me. Definitely better than the pill.

I’ve had great results with Haloette and no major side effects. People should remember that everyone’s body is different, so what works for one person might not work for another. I’d recommend giving it a try if you’re in the market for a long-term contraceptive, but don’t get discouraged if the side effects are rough.
