I’ve been on Haloperidol Decanoate for about a year now, and while it’s helped with my symptoms, the side effects have been a bit challenging. I’ve had some trouble with muscle stiffness and drowsiness, but my psychiatrist adjusted my dose, and it’s been much better. Just want to remind everyone that communication with your doctor is key.

I think the serious side effects list is a bit scary, but my doctor assured me that they are rare. Still, it’s good to be aware. I’ve had some dry mouth and mild constipation, but nothing too bad. Just drink lots of water and it helps.

I read this and thought of the movie “A Beautiful Mind,” where John Nash had that same kind of problem with tremors on Haldol. Just wanted to share this thought, it can happen. Now I gotta go watch the movie again.

This stuff is a lifesaver for my sister. She’s been on it for two years, and it’s made a world of difference. No more daily pills to worry about, and her symptoms have been much more manageable.
