I've been on Haloperidol Decanoate for a few years now, and it's been a game-changer for managing my schizophrenia. The once-a-month injections are so much easier than remembering to take pills every day.
If you're considering this medication, definitely talk to your doctor about the potential side effects. But don't let the scary list of side effects scare you off. I've been on it for years, and it's been a lifesaver for me.
I started taking Haloperidol Decanoate over 20 years ago and haven't had any side effects. I'm very active in triathlon and continue to train and race at a high level.
I have to admit, I had some serious concerns about the side effects when I started this medication. But after a while, my body got used to it, and now I hardly think about it. However, I do have a few questions I would like to discuss.
I had tried many medications before I was switched to Haloperidol Decanoate. The first few months were tough with some very serious side effects: severe headaches, blurred vision and mood swings, but I stuck with it and now I'm living a much better life. The persistent problems are not enough to outweigh the benefits of the drug.
