Has anyone been prescribed Dexlansoprazole 60mg DR Capsules for acid reflux? What's been your experience?
I've been suffering from acid reflux for months now, and my doctor just prescribed me Dexlansoprazole 60mg DR Capsules. I've read about the possible side effects, and I'm a bit worried. I've been taking this for a few months and it's been okay. I did have some dizziness at first, but it went away after a couple of weeks. Not sure if that's even related to the meds though. Has anyone else experienced this?
Stay away from this stuff. I took it for a week and ended up with a severe rash all over my body. Had to go to the ER. Not worth the risk for me.
I've had great success with Dexlansoprazole, but I've been on the 30mg version. I'm not sure if the 60mg version can cause more or different side effects. I know it can take a while for the meds to kick in, so don't worry if you don't feel immediate relief. If you do experience any serious side effects, don't hesitate to contact your doctor. Did your doctor suggest any lifestyle changes as well? I was told to avoid spicy foods, caffeine, and alcohol. Also, eating smaller meals more frequently has helped me a lot.
I've been on PPIs for years, and they've been a lifesaver for me. I'd rather deal with some minor side effects than the constant pain and discomfort of acid reflux. But everyone is different. Good luck with your treatment!
I was on Dexlansoprazole for a while and it helped a lot. But after a year, I was told I should not take it every day. I'm down to just taking it when I have a flare-up. Today, I'm not sure if this is common practice. I dont know if it's any different with the 60mg dosage,
