Has anyone been prescribed Meropenem 500mg Injection? What's your experience been like?
I've been prescribed Meropenem 500mg Injection for a serious bacterial infection and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Meropenem is really strong and should only be used for serious infections. Make sure to finish the full course of treatment, even if you feel better. The side effects can be rough, but it's saving your life in some cases.
Watch out for diarrhea. I got a really bad case of C. diff from the Meropenem. I had to be admitted for treatment.
I had no issues with Meropenem. I was treated for an infection in my brain, and it worked well. I was worried about all the side effects, but it turned out okay. But I had none of the severe side effects.
How long were you on Meropenem? My treatment was only a week, and I had mild side effects. Just a bit of muscle weakness and fatigue.
Nausea was my biggest issue with Meropenem. I had to take some anti-nausea medication to manage it. But it was worth it because it cleared up my infection.

I was on Meropenem for a severe abdominal infection last year. The side effects weren't too bad for me, just some nausea and diarrhea, but nothing severe. I did get a bit of a headache a few times. My doctor said that Meropenem is a last resort, but it worked very well.
