I was recently prescribed Haloperidol 20mg for severe agitation and hallucinations. It has helped with those symptoms, but I've been experiencing some really intense side effects. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there's a way to mitigate these side effects. The list of possible side effects is frightening, and I'm trying to figure out if these are normal or if I should be concerned. I'm particularly worried about the more serious side effects like trouble controlling body movements or seizures. Has anyone else had these issues, or do they know if there are any alternatives that might work as well without the same level of risk?

I've been on Haloperidol for a few years now. It's helped a lot with my schizophrenia, but the side effects can be tough. I get a lot of drowsiness and dry mouth, but I haven't had any of the serious ones. Make sure to stay in close contact with your doctor and report any issues immediately. It's always best to be safe.

I had a really bad reaction to Haloperidol. I started experiencing hallucinations again, but this time they were worse. My doctor switched me to another medication and I feel much better. It's a nightmare when medication meant to help you makes things worse.

Have you tried adjusting your dose? I had a lot of issues at first, but once my doctor lowered the dose, things got better. Just make sure to get your doctor's approval before changing anything.

I've had some trouble with movement control, but I haven't had any seizures thank god. But yeah, the doctor said it could happen so I'm extra careful. If you're experiencing anything serious, go to the hospital.

Has anyone else noticed changes in their sex drive? I've been on Haloperidol for a while and it's definitely affected mine.

It's scary how many side effects this medication has. I wish there was something that could help without all the risks. But I guess it's a trade-off for getting better.
