Has anyone else experienced severe dizziness from Glimepiride 4mg Tablets?
I was recently prescribed Glimepiride 4mg Tablets to help manage my Type 2 Diabetes. It's supposed to help my body produce more insulin and use it more effectively, which is great. I've been taking it with my first meal of the day as instructed, but I've noticed some severe dizziness lately. It's not all the time, but it's frequent enough to be concerning. I've read that this can be a side effect, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how you dealt with it. I've also noticed some weight gain, which is a bit disappointing. Has anyone else had this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've been on Glimepiride for a while now and haven't experienced any severe dizziness, but I do get a bit lightheaded sometimes. I've found that eating a snack before bed helps me sleep through the night without feeling weak or dizzy in the morning.
I switched to a different medication because of the dizziness. It was just too much to handle. But I know everyone is different, so maybe adjusting the timing of your dose or eating habits can help. Talk to your doctor!
I think the dizziness might be more likely if you're also taking other diabetes drugs. Just something to consider. I've had no issues so far.
I had the same issue with dizziness. My doctor advised me to take my dose with a larger meal, which seemed to help a lot. Good luck!
I've noticed some mild headaches and flu-like symptoms, but nothing severe. I just take it easy and drink plenty of water. Hope you feel better soon!
I've been on this medication for a year and have had no issues. I wish you the best and hope you find a solution that works for you!
I've been lucky and haven't had any severe side effects. I have a full meal with my pill and haven't had any issues. If you haven't spoken to your doctor yet about this, you should.
I've experienced some weird skin reactions. Not as bad as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, but it was uncomfortable. Again, talk to your doctor about it.
I got hives a few months ago and it was terrifying. I had to go to the ER right away. Turns out it was an allergic reaction to the Glimepiride. I'm on a different medication now, and I haven't had any issues. Make sure you have your doctor's number handy just in case!
I went to the hospital with some crazy skin irritation and low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Just be careful and watch out for any symptoms. I think if you're experiencing anything like this, you should contact your doctor right away.
