I've been prescribed Betimol 0.5% Ophthalmic Solution for high eye pressure, and while it's helping, I've been experiencing some concerning side effects. I've read about the potential serious issues, but I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are ways to mitigate these side effects. I've been feeling a bit dizzy and have some eye irritation. I'm worried about the potential for more serious issues like heart problems or severe allergic reactions. Has anyone else had these difficulties, and if so, how did you handle them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Just curious, how often are you using the Betimol? Sometimes the frequency can affect the side effects.

I've been on Betimol for a few months now, and while I haven't had any severe side effects, I did experience some mild dizziness and dry eyes at the beginning. My doctor suggested using artificial tears to help with the dryness, and it made a big difference. Maybe talk to your doctor about that!

I had some serious heart issues after starting Betimol. It was scary. The doctors had to put me on a different medication and monitor me for a while. They said it was a rare reaction, but it definitely made me nervous about taking any medication from that point on.

I had some weird neurological symptoms when I started Betimol—felt like I was dropped into an alternate dimension and forgot how to speak normally. Scared the crap out of me! My doc had me switch to a different med and I felt better instantly. It was a bummer because Betimol worked well for my eye pressure, but my brain was like, 'hell no!'
