I was prescribed Bupropion SR 100mg tablets to help with depression and to quit smoking. The medication has been working well for my mood, but I've been experiencing some concerning side effects. I've had a few episodes of dizziness, occasional chest pain, and some strange dreams that seem to be increasing in intensity. I'm not sure if these are normal or if I should be worried. Has anyone else had similar experiences, or is this something I should bring up with my doctor? I'm trying to figure out if these side effects are worth the benefits the medication provides, or if I should consider switching to a different medication.

I’ve been on Bupropion SR for almost a year and I've had almost no side effects. Just a bit of dizziness and some vivid dreams, but nothing too bad. Sorry to hear you're having a tough time with it.

Switching medications can be a hassle, but it's worth it if you're experiencing severe side effects. I wish you the best of luck and hope your doctor can find a solution that works for you!

I had some weird dreams too. They were so vivid, and I had a lot of difficulty falling back asleep. It was actually pretty scary, so I talked to my doctor and he said it was a common side effect. I was switched to a different medication that I didn't have this issue with.

Why are there so many terrifying side effects with these meds?! I don't know if it's worth it sometimes. Just be careful and listen to your body; you know best.

I've heard that some people experience seizures with Bupropion SR, so if you’re having any kind of convulsions or loss of consciousness, you should go to the ER.

I've experienced some chest pain too, but it turned out to be anxiety-related. The medication can make you feel jittery at times, and that might manifest as chest pain or discomfort. But it's always best to get it checked out by a professional to rule out any heart issues.

You might want to keep a log of your symptoms and how often they occur. That way, you can provide your doctor with more detailed information when you talk to them. It could help them make a more informed decision about whether to continue or change the medication.

You might want to also look into some alternative medications to try if the side effects are increasing. I've heard from some people that switching to other antidepressants like Wellbutrin or Sertraline can be helpful.

I've been on Bupropion SR for a few months now, and I haven't had any serious side effects. I did have some vivid dreams at first, but they went away after a while. It's definitely worth talking to your doctor about those chest pains, though. Better safe than sorry.

Don't worry, the vivid dreams usually subside after a few weeks. Just make sure you talk to your doctor about the chest pain. It could be something serious!
