I was recently prescribed But/aspirin/caffeine Cap 50-325-40 for tension headaches, but after reading the side effects, I'm a bit concerned. The combination of butalbital, aspirin, and caffeine sounds intense, and the list of possible side effects is pretty long. Has anyone else had issues with this medication? This is the worse. I've tried a bunch of different medications for my headaches and this one is the only one that makes me feel worse. Sores in your mouth and throat?! What the heck?!?!
My doctor prescribed this for my migraines and never mentioned any of these side effects. If I had known about them, I would have been more cautious. It's good to be informed.
I had a really bad reaction to this med. I ended up with severe stomach pain and vomiting. It was horrendous. My doctor switched me to something else, and I feel much better now. Be careful with this one.
I've been on this for a while and haven't had any major issues. Just the occasional dizziness, but it's manageable. I think it's worth sticking with if it helps with the headaches.
My friend was really sick after taking this. They ended up in the ER with some serious stomach issues. It's a good reminder to be cautious with this kind of medication.
