I've had no issues with Carteolol, but I did have some eye irritation. It was manageable, but if it gets worse, definitely switch!
I switched to a different beta-blocker because the burning sensation was unbearable. It's worth discussing alternatives with your doctor.

I had the same trouble with sleep, but my doctor adjusted the timing of my doses, and it helped a lot. Might be worth asking about that.
