Has anyone else experienced severe side effects from Dorzolamide 2% Ophthalmic Solution?
I've been using Dorzolamide 2% Ophthalmic Solution for a few months now to treat my glaucoma, and while it's been effective in lowering my eye pressure, I've started experiencing some pretty nasty side effects. I've had some burning and stinging, which is annoying but manageable, but the other day I woke up with a strange rash and a sore throat. Is anyone else dealing with this? Are these symptoms worth talking to my doctor about? Or should I just tough it out and hope it gets better?

I switched to a different eye drop because of the side effects. Talk to your doctor about alternative treatments.
I had a similar reaction and it turned out I was actually allergic to something else I was using. Talk to your doctor and make sure it's the Dorzolamide causing the issues.
I've been on Dorzolamide for years and never had any issues. Maybe it's something else causing your rash and sore throat? Could be worth getting checked out though, just to be safe.
If you're experiencing severe side effects, you should definitely talk to your doctor. This isn't something to mess around with.
Oh man, I had the burning and stinging too. It sucks, but my doctor said it's normal. Don't ignore the other symptoms, though — better safe than sorry!
I've had no side effects at all, but I'm pretty sensitive to medications. Maybe it's just not the right one for you.
I'm really sorry that you're dealing with this. Make sure to keep your doctor updated on all your symptoms.
This drug is no joke. I had severe eye irritation and swelling. If you're experiencing any of those symptoms, do not wait — get to the doctor immediately.
Rainy days and eye drops, what a combo. I still take it but I'm just careful about the side effects... Have you tried adjusting the dosage?
I had a bad experience with this drug. I woke up one morning and my eye was completely swollen shut. Scared the heck out of me.
