I was prescribed Ondansetron 8mg Tablets to manage nausea and vomiting after my recent chemotherapy session. The medication has been effective, but I'm worried about the potential side effects. The package insert lists some serious side effects like allergic reactions, trouble passing urine, dizziness, and even serotonin syndrome. I've been experiencing some dizziness and mild headache, but nothing severe. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I'd love to hear about your experiences and any tips on managing side effects.

I took Ondansetron after my surgery and didn't experience any serious side effects. Just a bit of dizziness the first day, but it went away quickly.

Serotonin syndrome is no joke. I had a friend who ended up in the hospital with it after taking Ondansetron with another medication. Make sure your doctor knows about all the medications you're taking.

I've had a few bouts of constipation, but nothing major. Make sure you're staying hydrated and eating a balanced diet. That can help a lot with side effects like that. Doctor said it can cause serotonin syndrome, but I've never experienced it.

I've had some trouble passing urine, but it's not too bad. I just drink plenty of water and it usually goes away. Doctor said it's because Ondansetron blocks serotonin release, but I didn't understand what that means exactly.

Try some Ginger Ale, helped with my nausea. Ondansetron works by blocking serotonin, a neurotransmitter that can affect nausea and vomiting. It's a bit like a blocker, stopping serotonin from binding to its receptors in your digestive system. This helps to control the nausea and vomiting, especially after chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery.

I had no idea Ondansetron could cause such serious side effects. I've been taking it for a while and haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary, but I'll be more cautious now.  I've had headaches and dizziness, but nothing serious.
