I started taking Rivastigmine 6mg Capsules about a month ago to manage memory problems and confusion related to my diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. Initially, I experienced some mild side effects like upset stomach, dizziness, and trouble sleeping, but nothing too unbearable. However, a few days ago, my doctor called to say I had a fast heart beat and a serious imbalance in my electrolytes. I can't tell if it's the medication or other factors at play. Has anyone else had similar experiences? What kind of side effects have you encountered, and how did you manage them?

I've read that Rivastigmine can sometimes cause a urinary tract infection (UTI) among other serious side effects. I had a bit of a scare a few weeks back with some weird symptoms. I went to the doctor and they said that I had a UTI. The doctor told me that Rivastigmine could have caused it, but I'm not sure what to believe. I'm just glad I caught the UTI early enough.

Has anyone else on this medication noticed a change in their appetite? Mine has decreased significantly, and I've lost some weight. It's been a bit concerning, especially since I need to keep my strength up.

I've been on Rivastigmine for about six months now, and while I've had some stomach issues and dizziness, nothing too severe. It's been really helpful for my memory, though. I'm so sorry to hear about your issues though.

I've been on it for about a year now and I've had a few issues, mostly stomach stuff, but I can't say I've had any real severe side effects. My doctor told me that it's important to stick with it, though, because it's helping with my memory.

I've been really lucky with this medication. I haven't had any serious side effects, and it's been a game-changer for my symptoms. I'm so sorry it's been rough on you though.

That sounds rough. I've heard that Rivastigmine can cause some pretty nasty side effects, but I didn't realize they could be that severe. I'm glad you're doing okay now, though.

I think it's important to remember that everyone's experience with medication can be different. What works for one person might not work for another. It's crucial to stay in close contact with your doctor and report any side effects, no matter how small they seem.

These side effects seem so much worse than the ones I have read about in pamphlets.

I had some hallucinations while taking Rivastigmine, which was really scary. I had to stop taking it immediately. I'm hoping to find another medication that works for me.
