I was recently prescribed Tegretol 100mg Chewable Tablets for trigeminal neuralgia, and I've been having some pretty intense side effects. I've read about some of the severe side effects like allergic reactions and low sodium levels, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced these or other serious issues. How have you managed them? I'm also curious about any less severe side effects that people have dealt with and how they've handled them. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've been lucky with Tegretol. A bit of dizziness here and there, but nothing major. Stay hopeful, it might work out for you too.

I've been on Tegretol for a few months now, and I've had some dizzy spells and a bit of nausea, but nothing too severe. Make sure to stay hydrated and talk to your doctor if things get worse.

I had some vision changes and speech issues, so I stopped taking it. These are serious side effects and need immediate medical attention. Don't mess around with this stuff.

I had to switch to a different medication because the side effects were too much to handle. It's okay to advocate for yourself and find what works best for you.

I had to stop taking Tegretol because I developed a rash and had trouble breathing. It was terrifying, but I'm glad I sought medical help right away. If you experience any of these symptoms, do not hesitate to go to the ER.

Have you tried adjusting the dosage? Sometimes lowering the dose can help with the side effects while still managing the symptoms.

I've had some memory problems and confusion since starting Tegretol. My doctor ran some tests and said it might be a low sodium level. I'm now monitoring my sodium intake closely.

What kind of allergic reaction did you have? I had hives and swelling, and it was scary as hell.
