I've been using Timoptic 0.25% Opth Soln 5ml for my glaucoma, and I've heard stories about some serious side effects. I'm starting to get worried and wonder if anyone else has had any bad experiences. The bottle says it can cause a pretty wide range from burning sensations to heart failure. No exaggeration, it's pretty terrifying. What has your experience been like? My doctor assured me that it's rare, but I've always been a bit of a hypochondriac, so I just want to hear some real stories from people. I feel a lot more scared of these meds than I ever was of the actual glaucoma.

I've had some pretty intense burning sensations after using Timoptic. It's not fun, but I'd rather deal with that than risk losing my sight. I've heard of people having worse, but I guess I got lucky—so far.

I got really unlucky and had a slow heartbeat and muscle weakness. Stopped using it immediately.

I've been on Timoptic for years, but the worst I've had is some eye irritation and the occasional headache. Definitely not fun, but way better than glaucoma. I'm just grateful to have found a treatment that works for me.

Timoptic saved my vision, but it's not without its downsides. I've had a few episodes of extreme dizziness and even passed out once. Scary stuff, but it’s worth it to keep my eyes healthy. Plus, my doctor kept telling me it was normal. I couldn't believe it at first but it turns out I don't have to worry. We just have to keep an eye on things (pun intended).

Timoptic is a lifesaver for my glaucoma, but the dizziness is no joke. I've had to sit down a few times because it came on so suddenly. They should really tell you how bad it can get at first. Has anyone else had this happen?

I got severe eye pain. It was unbearable. Ended up in the ER. Doc said it was a rare reaction to Timoptic. Never using that stuff again!

I switched to Timoptic after my doctor told me it was my best option. It's not bad, a little stinging, but nothing I can't handle. I had a friend who had to stop using it because it messed up his heart rhythm, but that's pretty rare from what I hear. I've been lucky so far.

My brother had a severe allergic reaction. He got a rash, itching and had trouble breathing. We rushed him to the ER, and he ended up having to switch meds. It was scary, but we caught it in time.

I've been lucky with Timoptic. I know some people have terrible side effects, but for me, it has been bearable. Doctors don't know what the hell they're doing when they prescribe these things; I'm sure glad I've been fine so far.
