Has anyone else experienced severe side effects from Tranxene T 7.5mg tablets? Itching, Sore throat, headaches, I think I'm done with this medication!

I know how you feel. I tried Xanax first. The side effects from Xanax were severe and I had to go through the same pain. I have no idea why I had such a severe reaction to Tranxene, but I actually didn't even try any higher doses. I'm glad I did though because Tranxene did help me and I was able to ween off without any issues.

Tranxene isn't for everyone, and it's not always the best choice. If the side effects are unbearable I think you should speak to your doctor about alternatives. There are plenty of other benzodiazepines that might work better for you. You should also consider non-medical approaches to managing anxiety, like therapy or meditation. These can be really helpful in the long run. Just don't stop taking it suddenly, you need to wean off or it can cause more problems.

If you need a quick solution, then why don't you just drink a lot of water? This might help with the itching, and also flush out your system.

I've had trouble sleeping due to this medication as well. Set yourself up a good sleep hygiene. Things like cool temperature and a quiet bedroom. It also helps me to stay off of my phone and just relax before bed. Easy to say, but hard to do.

I used to take Xanax instead of Tranxene. The side effects were horrible and I'm pretty sure they were even worse. The only good thing is that it did help with anxiety.
