Has anyone else experienced significant side effects from Ethamolin 5% Injection?
I was recently prescribed Ethamolin 5% Injection, 2ml to treat my esophageal varices. I’ve read about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones like allergic reactions and kidney problems. I’m a bit nervous about it. Has anyone else had this treatment and, if so, what was your experience like? The more I know, the more comfortable I'll feel going into it.

I had it done a couple of years ago and it was fine. The real issue was that I had to watch what I ate for a while after. But it’s not like it stopped me from eating pizza once a week. Keep an eye on your diet and you’ll be fine.
I had Ethamolin a few months back. The injection itself was a bit uncomfortable, but I didn't experience any major side effects. Just a bit of redness and swelling at the injection site, but it went away pretty quickly. Hope you don't run into any serious issues.
I had the injection and the swelling at the injection site was nasty. It felt like I had been burned. Took a few days to get back to normal, but it was worth it to stop the bleeding.
I had tissue damage at the injection site, but my doctor said it was a rare case. It was managed with some additional treatments. Just make sure your medical team is aware of any changes.
I've heard horror stories about this stuff. If you notice any signs of a bad reaction, don't wait—get to a doctor ASAP. Better safe than sorry!
