I've been prescribed Zolpidem 5mg Tablets to help with insomnia, and for the most part, it's been effective. However, I've started to experience some side effects that I'm not sure are normal. I've heard about some serious side effects, but I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing counts. Has anyone else had issues with this medication? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any long-term effects or if anyone has switched to an alternative. I'd really appreciate some insight or advice from others who have gone through similar experiences. Also, I'm curious about how to properly take the medication to minimize side effects. Should I be taking it differently?

It's crazy how different this medication can affect people. I've got to mention that. When I first started taking Zolpidem, I felt like I had a hangover the next day. Once I stopped taking it with food it was so much better. Worth a shot.

I once woke up to find that I had eaten half a bag of potato chips - just lying there, munching away while I slept. I couldn't stop laughing. And also - my pant size went up a notch.

I've been on Zolpidem for a while now, and I haven't had any serious issues. Just the occasional drowsiness the next day. I take it about an hour before bed and make sure I have a full 8 hours of sleep. It's worth talking to your doctor though if you're concerned.

I recently told my doctor about my weird side effects and he switched me to Lunesta. It's worth noting that the best doctor is the one that listens. A good doctor is always listening, and he switched me because he was listening to how I was feeling. I have to say that I've had way fewer issues with Lunesta. It's a game-changer for sure.

I've had some really bizarre dreams on Zolpidem, but nothing too scary. Just stuff that it's best not to remember

I've had some issues with memory loss, and it's definitely WORTH IT to note that. I was taking it during law school and I'd almost swear I missed a test or something. It's been a while but it was scary enough.

I switched to Zolpidem from Ambien because it was half the price. I can't say if it's as effective as Ambien but I've had fewer side effects and less of a hangover the next day. Plus it's a bit cheaper.
