I've been taking Telmisartan/hctz 80-12.5mg Tabs for a few months now to manage my high blood pressure. Overall, it seems to be working well, but I've experienced some side effects that I'm not sure are related. I've had more fatigue, and occasional dizziness. I've also noticed some changes in my urine output, which has me a bit concerned. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Any tips on managing these side effects? I've heard that the diuretic part can cause some issues, but I'm hoping to get some real-world insights before I talk to my doctor again.

I’m not a doctor, but it’s worth noting that the side effects you mentioned could be quite dangerous. I had an allergic reaction to this combo and it was terrifying. Make sure you’re monitoring your symptoms closely.

I think it's a good idea to document your symptoms and bring them up with your doctor. They're not supposed to be common side effects, so a closer look might be worth it.

I'm really sensitive to anything that messes with my electrolytes, especially diuretics. I've had to change my diet to counteract those effects. But it's worth mentioning—if you're experiencing weird symptoms, it might be worth checking potassium levels.

Do you have any other medical conditions? Sometimes these medications can interact with other drugs. Make sure your doctor knows everything you’re taking.

I had to switch to a different ARB because of the diuretic. It was causing some electrolyte issues and I was feeling terrible. It might be worth talking about alternatives with your doctor.
