I was prescribed Wes-Phos 250 Neutral Tablets to manage low phosphate levels, and I've been experiencing some concerning side effects. I've read that these can include anything from mild stomach issues to severe electrolyte problems. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences, and how they managed these side effects. I've been trying to stay hydrated and avoid foods high in phosphorus, but I'm still feeling pretty bad. I've also read that it can cause reduction in kidney stones in some patients - has anyone experienced this?

It's so funny; I asked my doctor what it was for and they said it was to prevent kidney stones. I said, 'Aren’t kidney stones just the shape of them?' I got a laugh out of him at least.

I was on this for a while and it helped me a lot with the kidney stones. But it was too harsh for me in the end. If you're on it, try to track any changes in your urine and check in with your doctor regularly.

I had a similar reaction. I also had muscle cramps and weakness. My doctor switched me to a different phosphate supplement, and it's been much better. Have you talked to your doctor about changing your medication?

I had to stop taking it because of the severe headache and dizziness. It was unbearable. Is it possible that the dosage was too high for me?

I had some mild diarrhea and stomach pain, but nothing too bad. I just tried to stay hydrated and it went away eventually. But I definitely take it easy when I'm on this stuff. Do you think your doctor might be able to help you manage these symptoms?

I've seen a lot of people get really sick, and saw one person go through a lot of trouble to get off these tablets. Maybe you could try not taking it with food to see if that helps at all. Or just talk to your doctor.

This stuff is no joke. I wish I'd known about the potential for seizures before I started. Luckily, I've been fine so far, but now I'm extra cautious.

I take these and I just try to stay hydrated and eat right. If you're not having any trouble with them then that's great. Is there anything in particular that you're concerned about with this medication?

I've been on this for a few months and haven't had any major issues. I just stick to the dosage my doctor prescribed.
