I started using the Nicotrol Inhaler a few weeks ago to help me quit smoking, and I've been having some really unpleasant side effects. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar. The inhaler seems to help with the cravings, but the side effects are making me reconsider. Has anyone had issues with things like chest pain or severe headaches? Or maybe it's just me and I should give it more time.

I've been using the Nicotrol Inhaler for a month now and haven't had any major issues. Just a bit of a headache here and there, but nothing too bad.

Seriously, if you're having chest pain, don't mess around. Go to the ER. That's not normal and could be a sign of something very serious.

I think the inhaler helped me quit, but it gave me a non-stop runny nose and cough. I felt like I had a cold for weeks.

Hope you feel better soon! Don't give up on quitting, but maybe talk to your doctor about switching to a different method.

What's the deal with the 'drooling' side effect? That's just strange, I don't see that on other nicotine replacement products.

Drooling is definitely weird, but it's a real side effect. Just make sure to keep a tissue box handy.

I had some pretty bad chest pain and dizziness when I first started. I thought it was just withdrawal, but it turned out I was having some allergic reactions. I had to stop using it and talk to doctor instead.

Don't forget, it's all about personal tolerance. If the Nicotrol Inhaler is causing you too many issues, you might want to look into other nicotine replacement therapies. Or even try the cold turkey method while taking medical advice, of course.

I had a few bad dreams and some trouble sleeping when I first started using it, but those went away after a week. Maybe give it a bit more time and see if your symptoms improve.
