I've been struggling with eczema on my scalp for years, and my dermatologist recently prescribed Ala-Scalp 2% Lotion. I've read about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones, and I'm a bit nervous about using it. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. Any tips for applying it or managing side effects would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend talking to your doctor before using this. I had a really bad reaction and I had to go to the ER. The reaction was probably my fault, but it's worth talking to your doctor.

I've tried a lot of different things for my eczema, including this lotion. It worked for a bit, but then I started getting these weird burning sensations. I switched to a different cream and it's been much better. Maybe give it a try but be prepared to switch if you don't like it.

I've been using Ala-Scalp for a while and it's been great. Just make sure to apply it to dry skin and avoid getting it in your eyes. It stings like hell if you do. Also, be careful not to overuse it—my doctor told me to only use it for short periods to avoid side effects.

I've been using Ala-Scalp for about a month now and it's been a lifesaver. My eczema has calmed down significantly, and I haven't experienced any side effects. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully and don't overapply.

I had a bad reaction to this stuff. It made me so itchy and the itching felt even worse. Just stopped using it. I would stick to more natural remedies if you can.

Have you talked to your doctor about other options? Sometimes switching to a different topical steroid can make a big difference. I had to try a few before finding one that worked for me. Also, make sure you're not using too much at once—it can thin your skin if you overdo it.

I've been on this for a few months. It really helps with the itching. I had a couple of bumps and burns that went away. Good luck and I hope it works for you too.

I had a similar reaction to the previous commenter, but I stuck it out for a few weeks because my doctor insisted. I would not recommend this but I need to talk to my doctor again. I switched to a different steroid cream and it has worked much better for me.
