I've been struggling with acne for a while and my dermatologist prescribed Benzamycin Gel. It contains erythromycin and benzoyl peroxide, and I'm hoping it will finally clear up my skin. Has anyone else used this? How long did it take to see results? I'm also a bit worried about the side effects, especially the severe ones. Any advice on how to manage them if they occur?

Has anyone else experienced any stomach issues like diarrhea? I'm worried about that but I guess there might be so many side effects not listed?

I used Benzamycin for a few months and saw a big improvement in my acne. It took about 6 weeks to start noticing a difference. Side effects weren't too bad for me, just some dryness.

Be cautious with this stuff. I had a severe allergic reaction the first time I used it. I broke out in a rash and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER. My doctor told me it was rare but possible.

I'm on my second tube now and I'm happy with the results. Just remember to use a moisturizer to combat the dryness.

I've heard the antibiotic in Benzamycin can help kill the bacteria causing acne, but some people might develop antibiotic resistance. I've been considering other topical options due to concerns about resistance.

Benzamycin was a lifesaver for my acne, but yeah, it can be a bit drying. Just make sure to use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer and you should be fine.
