I was recently prescribed Gleostine 10mg capsules for a brain tumor, and I'm feeling overwhelmed by the potential side effects. It's reassuring to know that this drug can help, but the list of side effects is alarming. I've already read some forums and am starting to feel worse. Has anyone else had to deal with these symptoms, like hair loss or stomach upset? How bad does it get, and what strategies did you use to cope? I know the side effects are interchangeable with the effectiveness of the drug, but I want to be prepared. Can anyone share their experience with these 10mg doses? I'm new to all of this and really could use some help.

Has anyone else noticed that the side effects seem to get worse around the fourth or fifth week? It feels like your body is building up a tolerance to it.

Eye drop prescription is a lifesaver for eyes feeling dry.

I've learned a trick to try: ginger tea helps with the nausea. It's a bit strange, but it works. It's like taking a fancy tasting antacid, but with all the healing properties of tea.

I've had some unpleasant experiences with this drug. I've had to deal with severe skin reactions and even some vision issues. The doctors believe this is because it the drug was in pill form, so it might be different if you are taking it as a capsule. Always check with your doctor if you have vision issues. It could be something else entirely.

I'm sorry to hear about the side effects. If you ever get hiccups, I was told to drink ice water and that helped. Also, if your mouth gets dry, try garlic toast and banana.

The first time I took these pills, I was so stressed about the potential side effects that I think I worried myself sick. I realize this isn't a lot of help, but try to keep your mind off of it. It’s easier said than done, but it helps.

I can't stand any of the nausea medicine I tried, but I was fine not eating any solid food before taking the pills. That also helped me with the side effects some. Take a product called Zofran, for when you feel sick. I have to say, my insurance will not cover Zofran.

I hate to say it, but if you're looking for a way to cope with nausea, I found this anti-nausea patch works wonders for me. It's really helped me with the nausea, and it's a huge relief.
