I've been prescribed PEG 3350 Powder 119gm to help with occasional constipation. It's supposed to draw water into your stool, making it softer and easier to pass, but it can take 1 to 3 days to work. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones like allergic reactions, severe dizziness, and rectal bleeding. I'm also curious if anyone can share tips on how to time the dosing properly. I've read the leaflet, but real-world experiences with this drug are hard to find. Most of the online reviews I've seen are either overly positive or terribly negative, so I'd love to hear from people who have tried it firsthand to get a sense of how effective it is and whether the side effects are as bad as the leaflet makes them seem.

I had a really bad reaction to it. Got a rash and some hives. Had to go to the ER. Not everyone reacts the same way, but if you start feeling weird, get to a doctor ASAP.

I had no issues with it at all. Took it as directed and it worked within 2 days. No side effects for me.

I work in a hospital and we use PEG 3350 all the time. It's very safe and effective when used correctly. The key is to follow the instructions carefully and stay hydrated.

I wish they'd make this stuff taste better. It's like drinking chalk. But it works, so I'll deal with it.

I thought I was having a heart attack the first time I took it. Turns out it was just bad gas. Lol.

I've used PEG 3350 a few times after some really rough stomach issues. It definitely works, but yes, it can take a while to kick in. Make sure to drink plenty of water with it. I found that taking it before bed helped me avoid any daytime discomfort.

I took it once and ended up with diarrhea for days. Never again.

I've had to take it a few times after surgeries. It can be a bit unpleasant, but it does the job. Just make sure to give your body time to adjust.
