I've been prescribed Baclofen 25mg/5ml Oral Susp 300ml to help manage muscle spasms from my spinal cord injury. However, every pharmacy I've called tells me it's on backorder and they don't know when they'll receive more. Has anyone else had this issue? Any advice on how to cope with the spasms in the meantime? I'm desperate for some relief. I've also been considering contacting the manufacturer directly, but I'm not sure if that would help. Thanks in advance for any advice or shared experiences.

I felt your pain. I had to wait 3 weeks for my prescription. In the meantime, I used heat packs and did gentle stretching exercises to manage the spasms. It wasn't perfect, but it helped a bit. Also, make sure your doctor knows about the backorder. They might be able to help or find alternatives.

Have you tried compounding pharmacies? They can make the suspension for you if you have a prescription. It's more expensive, but it's an option. Also, talk to your doctor about other meds that might help in the meantime. There are other muscle relaxers that might work for you.

I had a similar problem, but my doctor switched me to a different muscle relaxer temporarily. It wasn't as effective but it helped a lot, and i got back on track once the baclofen was available again.

This happens more often than you think. Sometimes pharmacies can't keep certain drugs in stock due to manufacturing issues. Keep pushing, and don't settle for less. You deserve relief, I feel for you.

I've had the same problem! Try calling different pharmacies, sometimes they have it in stock while others don't. It's a hassle, but worth the call.

Have you checked with mail-order pharmacies? Sometimes they have better stock than local ones. Also, if your insurance covers it, you might be able to get a larger supply at once, so you won’t run into this issue again.

That's crazy. I've been taking Baclofen for years and never had an issue. Fingers crossed your pharmacy gets some soon!
