I was prescribed Loperamide 1mg/7.5ml Suspension for acute diarrhea, and while it's effective, I've been experiencing some pretty unpleasant side effects. Has anyone else had similar issues? I'm wondering if it's just a matter of adjusting the dosage or if there are other solutions. The urgent side effects list is a bit concerning, especially the allergic reactions and severe stomach issues. Has anyone experienced these before? I've been feeling quite dizzy and tired, which isn't mentioned on the urgent side effects list, but it's really affecting my daily activities. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You’re not alone! I got severe abdominal pain and constipation after taking Loperamide. I had to stop using it and switch to Imodium. I didn't realize the side effects could be that bad, especially with severe symptoms. Switching meds was totally worth it for me, I didn't have the stomach issues anymore. Probably worth a talk with your doctor if you can.

I’ve used Loperamide a few times and never had any major side effects. Maybe it’s worth talking to your doctor about adjusting the dosage or trying a different medication. Stay hydrated!

Have you tried any natural remedies? Peppermint tea and ginger can sometimes help with diarrhea. I always have them in my cabinet.

I had really bad constipation from Loperamide. I went to the doctor and they recommended switching to a different antidiarrheal. It worked much better for me. I totally get the dizziness. You might be sensitive to it.

Side effects are no joke. If you’re experiencing any of the urgent symptoms, get to a doctor ASAP. Better safe than sorry!

I tried Loperamide once and got hives all over my body. It was terrifying. Went to the ER and they told me to never take it again. I wish I had read the side effects list more carefully. Always good to be cautious.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve been feeling really tired and weak since starting Loperamide. I thought it was just because I wasn’t eating much, but now I’m wondering if it’s the medication. Any tips on dealing with this?
