I've recently been prescribed Griseofulvin 125mg/5ml Oral Susp to treat a persistent fungal infection. The doctor says it works by stopping the growth of the fungus, but I'm a bit worried about taking it for so long. Has anyone else taken this medication? How did you manage the side effects? Any tips for making sure the infection is completely cleared? I've heard it can be tough, and I want to make sure I'm doing everything right.

I had a severe allergic reaction to Griseofulvin. I started feeling tightness in my chest and my throat felt like it was swelling shut. I went to the ER and they told me it was an allergic reaction. Thank goodness I got to the hospital in time. Just pay attention to your body and look for warning signs.

Has anyone else had issues with sunburn while on this? My doctor said it can make you more sensitive to the sun.

The side effects were a bit tough. Lots of headaches and feeling dizzy, especially in the morning. It caused stomach pain and i'd get nauseous sometimes, but doctors said it's normal. Doc said to eat smaller meals and got me on some mild painkillers. Its a tough one but it works.

Make sure to take it with food. I took it on an empty stomach and ended up with a lot of upset stomach and vomiting. Not fun at all. Stick to the routine and you should be fine.

I had to take this for a skin infection a while back. I noticed i felt dizzy and tired more often than normal. I changed my diet a bit and it helped a lot. Just take it easy and listen to your body. Its a long course but totally worth it.

I had to take Griseofulvin for a fungal infection on my scalp. The doctor warned me about the side effects, but I didn't experience any of the serious ones, just some mild headaches and dizziness. Make sure to finish the entire course even if you feel better. The infection can come back if you stop too soon.

fun fact... it is also used in veterinary medicine for treating ringworm and other fungal infections in animals. I had to treat my kitten with it. He hated taking the meds, but it worked.

Griseofulvin saved me from a bad case of athlete's foot. I had to take it for a few months, but it finally went away. It was worth it to get rid of that gross infection.

I took Griseofulvin for a few months to treat a nail fungus and it worked, but I had to be really diligent with taking the full course. It took a while but my nails finally grew out clear.
