I've been on MS Contin for a while now and the constipation is a nightmare. I've found that increasing my fiber intake and staying hydrated helps a bit, but it's still a struggle.
Have you tried stool softeners? They can be a lifesaver. As for the mood swings, make sure to communicate openly with your doctor. They might adjust your dosage or add another medication to help stabilize your mood.
I've been on MS Contin for years, and while the side effects are unpleasant, They've been manageable. I've also experienced some hormonal changes, which has been tough to deal with. But my doctor has been great about adjusting my treatment plan as needed. Stay proactive and communicate openly with your healthcare provider.
Both dizziness and mood swings can be managed. Sometimes changing the time of day you take your medication can help with dizziness or other side effects. Definitely talk to your doctor about how to lessen the side effects
