I was recently prescribed Tolterodine Tart ER 4mg Capsules for my overactive bladder. I've been struggling with the sudden urge to urinate and frequent accidents, and my doctor suggested this medication to help relax my bladder muscles. It's supposed to reduce the need to urinate frequently and accidental urine leakage. I've started taking it once a day as prescribed, but I'm curious if anyone else has tried this medication and what their experiences have been like. I'm particularly interested in hearing about any side effects people might have encountered. Thanks in advance for any insights!

I'm glad it's been helping others! I've been a bit hesitant to start a new medication because I have a history of allergic reactions. Has anyone experienced severe side effects?

I had a friend who had trouble passing urine and had to go off the medication but it was caused by issues unrelated to the medication. I just want to be in the loop if anyone has similar problems. I think my doctor said it was a rare but serious side effect.

I was really surprised to read this as my first idea was to just deal with it. It's amazing how much this medication has improved my life. I wish I had tried it sooner!

I experienced some changes in eyesight after taking Tolterodine, but it was pretty mild. I didn't feel it was severe enough to stop using it, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on. It's a bit scary to think of a potential life-threatening allergic reaction but then that's very rare.

I tried this and it didn't work for me. My doctor switched me to something else and it's been much better. Everyone's different, though, so just keep trying and keep talking to your doctor.

I was really worried about the side effects, but honestly, I've been fine. Just make sure to talk to your doctor if you experience anything unusual. Also, keep getting your eyes checked!

I'm a nurse, and I've seen patients who benefited greatly from this medication. But I always advise them to be on the lookout for any rare reactions, such as trouble breathing or trouble swallowing. Angioedema is a severe reaction that can be life-threatening, characterized by swelling of the hands, face, lips, eyes, tongue, or throat and trouble breathing and swallowing. It's scary but super rare, thankfully.
