Has anyone experienced any issues while taking Vimpat 10mg/ml Oral Solution? I'm new to this medication
I was recently prescribed Vimpat 10mg/ml Oral Solution (Lacosamide) for my partial-onset seizures. I've heard mixed reviews about it, and I want to know if anyone else has experienced any side effects. Lacosamide sounds like a great drug, but why is it so hard to swallow the tablet form (glass Btl)? It's a pain in the neck to measure the liquid version. I wish it came in a different form too.
It's important to monitor any mood changes or thoughts of suicide. My friend experienced some anxiety and it led to an emergency visit. Please don't ignore any sudden mood swings
I can't take this drug. I tried it and could NOT control my eye movements. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster all day. My doctor helped me switch to something more suitable
I got some weird skin rashes and itching, which were pretty scary. Definitely check with your doctor right away if that happens–turns out it was an allergic reaction.
I'm on Vimpat and have had no issues so far. Hopefully, it stays that way! fingers crossed!
