I've been on Vylibra for about three months now, and I've noticed some dark patches on my face. I'm not sure if it's related to the pill, but I'm worried. Has anyone else had this issue? How did you deal with it? I've been trying to avoid sun exposure and using sunscreen, but it doesn't seem to be helping much. Also, what other side effects have you experienced? I've read about some serious ones, but I haven't had any of those yet. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

My doctor told me that Vylibra can cause weight gain, but it's not guaranteed. It's different for everyone. If it bothers you, talk to your doctor about switching to a different pill. Mine said to give it a few months to see if it stabilizes.

Not sure if I should be worried. I've had some weight gain, but I've also been eating more than usual. Should I be concerned? I don't want to gain too much weight because I feel great so far.

I had heard that all birth controls pills can cause some mood swings and weight gain. I was paranoid when I started but after a few months it was manageable. Thanks for the update, I have a friend who was worried about this as well.

I've been on Vylibra for over a year and haven't had any issues with dark patches. I do wear sunscreen daily though, so maybe that's helped. As for other side effects, I've had some spotting between periods, but it's not too bad. Definitely talk to your doctor about the patches though, just to be safe.

Dark patches can be a side effect of hormonal birth control, including Vylibra. It's called melasma and it's caused by the hormones in the pill. You might want to try a different birth control method if it bothers you too much. I have a friend who had the same problem and switched to an IUD.

Try a good vitamin C serum. It helped me with the dark patches that I got from my birth control.
