I've been on Lisinopril 2.5mg for a couple of months now to manage my high blood pressure. Overall, it seems to be doing the job, but I've developed a persistent cough that's quite frustrating. I've read that this can be a side effect, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it goes away after some time. Also, has anyone found any remedies or tricks to deal with it? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should give it some more time. My mom was on Lisinopril and she had a cough for a while, but it eventually went away. It can take a bit for your body to adjust to new meds. Good luck!

I can't believe how common this side effect is. I had the cough for a few months and it was miserable. Eventually, it went away, but it was rough. Hang in there, it might get better!

I had a persistent cough too, but it only lasted a couple of weeks. Just be patient and if it doesn't go away, talk to your doctor. Also, try some honey and lemon tea at night 😊

I had a similar experience with a different medication. The key is to stay in touch with your doctor and make sure they know what you're going through. They can adjust your dosage or switch you to something else if needed.

I've read that staying hydrated can help with the cough. Also, using a humidifier at night can make a big difference. Worth a shot!

If the cough is really bothering you, talk to your doctor about switching to a different type of medication. There are other options out there that might work better for you.

I switched to another medication because of the cough. It was really annoying and I couldn't take it anymore. Maybe talk to your doctor about other options?

I've been on Lisinopril for over a year and never had any side effects. But I've also heard the cough can be bad for some people. Maybe it's just your body adjusting to the medication.

I had a similar experience. The cough was mild at first, but it got worse over time. My doctor switched me to a different blood pressure medication and the cough disappeared. Definitely worth discussing with your healthcare provider.
