Has anyone experienced serious side effects from Valtrex 1gm Tablets?
I was prescribed Valtrex 1gm Tablets for a herpes zoster outbreak, but I'm worried about the serious side effects. I've been experiencing some mild symptoms and wanted to know how common mild side effects such as headache or stomach pain and severe side effects are, and if anyone has had any experience with them. Additionally, I'm wondering how long it typically takes for the medicine to start working and if there are any tips for managing the side effects. The potential side effects list is extensive, and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Thanks in advance for any insights or advice!

I'm on my third day and I feel like I'm having trouble with my kidneys. The doctor said it might have been a coincidence, but what if it’s not? Has anyone else noticed kidney problems?
I think Valtrex is a lifesaver. I've had shingles before and it was brutal, but Valtrex helped clear it up quickly. Just make sure to drink plenty of water and eat well so your body can handle it.
I had to stop taking Valtrex because it gave me really bad headaches. I never had any of the serious side effects, but the headaches were enough to make me switch to another medication. You might want to keep a close eye on that.
I've been on Valtrex for a while now, and I've only experienced some mild stomach upset. It's definitely manageable, but I agree the side effects list can be frightening. Just monitor closely and talk to your doctor if anything concerning comes up.
I had a slight rash but it went away after a few days. I don't think it was serious, though. I'd say it's worth staying on it because the benefits definitely outweigh the mild side effects, at least in my experience.
