I've been taking Allergy Relf (fexofenadine) 180mg for a couple of weeks now to combat my severe allergies. It's been working great so far, but I'm a bit wary of the potential side effects, especially the serious ones. I've experienced a few headaches but nothing too bothersome. Has anyone else had any issues with this medication? Some of the side effects listed are quite alarming, and I want to ensure I'm prepared. I'd love to hear from others about their experiences, especially if you've dealt with any of the severe side effects. If you feel comfortable, please share your story.

This is a very serious subject and it is good that you are asking questions and people are detailing experiences. I think it's great that you are asking about this. Side effects and dangers are a big part of taking any medication. There is no such thing as a free lunch, so when we buy our meds, we must be prepared to follow the directions and research side effects. I had no seizures or flu-like symptoms, but I did experience feeling like the world was spinning. My solution was to lay down and nap for 10-20 minutes and then I would be good to go. There are some side effects that I'm not very happy about. Thinking back to Allergy Relf, I remember the side effects I experienced were only momentary and I was able to enjoy the benefits of the meds. It was very helpful in dealing with allergies while still having the energy to get things done.

I had a weird symptom when I started taking it. My body would get very hot and it would be annoying. I would have to constantly have a fan on my body. The most extreme symptom was that I just started sweating uncontrollably.

I've been taking Allergy Relf for a few months now and haven't had any serious issues. Just the occasional headache, but it's manageable. I think it's worth it for the relief it provides from allergies.

I can relate to that. It's always a bit of a gamble with these allergy meds. Some work great, others...not so much. I think it's important to listen to your body and pay attention to any changes. If something doesn't feel right, it's always better to be safe and consult with a professional. I found that 180mg was too much for me and switched to 60mg and that solved all of my problems.

I took it for the whole season and did not experience the rare symptoms. I did experience some dizziness and fatigue. The dizziness was minor, but the fatigue was especially bad. I did not think much of the fatigue until I realized that I was having trouble getting out of bed and getting through the day. I called my doctor and she had me stop taking it. I felt good the next day, I’m not sure that the fatigue was the meds. I did not have any of the really severe symptoms that I thought I would.

Bad and good experiences

I've had nothing but good experiences. I've never had any of the serious side effects, but I have experienced a bit of dizziness. It's usually after I've taken it on an empty stomach, so I make sure to eat something first now.

Not a joke, but I don’t know if this is side effect or because I was tired. I almost got into an accident because I felt like I was driving on the wrong side of the road. I was keeping my right foot on the gas and my left on the brake. I managed to pull over safely and call my doctor. Turns out, I was out for a full 5 hours.
