I've been prescribed Atomoxetine 60mg Capsules for my ADHD, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. I've read about serious issues like allergic reactions, liver problems, and even heart issues. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'm particularly concerned about the serious side effects listed. I want to be prepared and know what to look out for. I have a family history of heart problems, so I'm extra cautious. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had a friend who had to stop taking it because of liver problems. It's rare, but it happens. Keep an eye on those symptoms and talk to your doctor if you notice anything unusual. The 4-hour erection thing is enough to make anyone a little nervous.

I'm on 40mg and have none of these issues, but I do get really dry mouth. Is that better or worse than hallucinating? I guess if you aren't paying for your meds...

I had heard the side effects are more common in teens. I think I had more nervousness and anger issues. But, if I had to make the call, these were preferable to the ADHD.

I've been taking Atomoxetine for about a year now, and I've had no issues with the liver or heart problems. But I did have a really bad headache with dizziness, and they put me on a lower dose. Working well now. Also, drink lots of water and take some Tylenol for headache.

I don't know about the liver stuff but I did get a rash on my arms and legs that went away on its own. It was probably just an allergic reaction like the warning said. I know you have a family history. You got to hope it's not genetic.
