Has anyone experienced severe side effects from Augmentin 875-125mg Tablets?
I was recently prescribed Augmentin 875-125mg Tablets for a severe sinus infection. I've been taking them for a few days, but I'm feeling a bit worried about the potential side effects. The patient information sheet lists some serious side effects, including allergic reactions and liver problems. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I really hope everyone is okay. I took Augmentin for an ear infection and had the worst rash I've ever seen. My doctor put me on some cream and steroids to help it go away. It was a living nightmare.
Just take probiotics as a preventative measure. This will help prevent you from having to deal with the side effects.
I took Augmentin a few years back and had an allergic reaction. My throat started to close up, and I was wheezing pretty badly. Had to go to the ER. Scary stuff, and I'll never take it again. If you have any history of allergies, be extra careful.
I had horrible diarrhea when i was on Augmentin for 10 days. Couldn't go out. I had to work from home. I was sick and tired and went to the doctor. It turns out the diarrhea was caused by an antibiotic-resistant C diff infection. Lucky me. I was on 2 different antibiotics for 2 months before I could get over it.
